Be assured of our ongoing prayers - This article says it all for me -

Thank you for this clear, thought through response. I may use some of it when sharing with congregations, as I encourage them to pray for world leaders and those who are close to them with influence. We continue to pray, Your Kingdom come, on earth as in heaven....

Franklin Graham is right to say there is a difference between how a President leads for a country and how a church is. I wonder if such letters were penned about previous Presidents on their refugee policies. President Trump has called for a short temporary halt. Refugees coming to the USA to give space to sort out a policy. The number then will be higher than many Presidents before him. It is a poor call for people not living in the circumstances of the USA to think they know what is right for the nation. If the people felt big changes were needed as they clearly did by their vote, then we should respect their views.
This article is well written, but I do find it difficult when people who are Christians write from their knowledge and understanding of parts of the Bible, but don't mention asking God what His plans in all this are, or what Holy Spirit has spoken to them. God has always confounded people when He chooses to do things so differently to how we think He should.
People who have great influence over other people should at least show they have sought God over this, and let them know what He spoke in return

Ivan Michael

God's richest blessing in all that you do. The world seems to be in a shambles at the moment but prayer changes things and if we earnestly seek God He can change hearts and sort everything out. If my people which are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and forgive their sin and heal their land.
